The funds raised will be used for tree planting in 2026, in compliance with applicable laws.With the received amount, we will plant forests in Pölöskefő, Zala County, which we will report on here, as well as regularly in the 10 Million Trees newsletters.

10 million trees from 1%! – The amount offered from the Personal Income Tax 1% in 2024: 4,091,000 HUF

It is a huge and very important feedback for us that this year, from the 1% tax contribution, the 10 Million Trees Foundation received 4,091,000 HUF.

We would like to sincerely thank all 380 individuals who designated us as their beneficiary!

From the contributions received in 2023, we planted a 1% forest in Mátyásföld, which was severely tested by this exceptionally hot summer.

Fortunately, we had reserves and set aside funds for replacing the drying plants. From the 2024 contributions, we planted a pasture forest in Bezeréd. This was a continuation of a project we had previously started.

Personal Income Tax 1% – 2023

10 million trees from 1%! – The amount offered from the Personal Income Tax 1% in 2023: 2,747,430 HUF

In 2023, we conducted a very successful 1% campaign, with the message “10 million trees from 1%!” and received 2,747,430 HUF from the contributions of 290 individuals for the 10 Million Trees Foundation.

The slogan will not change in 2024, but there is one important thing that perhaps few know:

the amount received in 2023 could only be used in 2024!

And we have dedicated this framework created from the Personal Income Tax 1% contributions to tree planting.

On March 2, 2024, we began the planting of our first 1% forest in a tradition-setting manner in Budapest, Mátyásföld, and with the help of our civil volunteers, we completed the planting of 2,700 forestry saplings the following weekend, on March 9.

As always, we keep our main goal in mind: we are reforesting using natural methods, always paying attention to creating a mixed species, native forest stock suitable for the site. The expert planting was supervised by Balázs Bozzay, a forestry technician and tree care specialist, a member of the expert team of 10 Million Trees supervised.

This is how Personal Income Tax 1% contributions become forests with the help of the 10 Million Trees community.

Year after year, we plant, and the trees will grow, expanding each year with a new team of saplings.
