With the received funds, we will establish forests in Zala County, in Bezeréd and its surroundingsi, and we will report on this here, as well as regularly in the 10 Million Trees newsletters.

We plant
large forests and small woods, wooded pastures in the countryside, edible gardens, urban street trees, or even urban green oases: Miyawaki mini-forests.

We plant from early autumn to late spring, and in summer we nurture: we regularly water the trees we have planted. Whether it’s winter or summer, we act where we live! The 2025 PIT 1% will be allocated for pasture-forest planting in Bezeréd.

10 Million Trees from 1%! – The amount offered from personal income tax 1% in 2024: 4,091,000 HUF
It is a huge and very important feedback for us that this year’s 1% tax contribution has provided the 10 Million Trees Foundation with 4,091,000 HUF.
We would like to sincerely thank all 380 individuals who designated us as their beneficiary!
From the donations received in 2023, we planted a 1% forest in Mátyásföld, which was severely tested by this year’s exceptionally hot summer.
Fortunately, we had reserves and set aside funds for replacing the withering plants. From the donations in 2024, we planted a pasture forest in Bezeréd. This was a continuation of our previously started work.

Personal Income Tax 1% – 2023
10 Million Trees from 1%! – The amount offered from personal income tax 1% in 2023: 2,747,430 HUF
In 2023, we conducted a very successful 1% campaign, with the message “10 Million Trees from 1%!” and received 2,747,430 HUF from the contributions of 290 individuals for the 10 Million Trees Foundation.
The slogan will not change in 2024, but there is an important thing that perhaps few know:
the amount received in 2023 could only be used in 2024!
And we have dedicated this framework created from the 1% tax contributions to tree planting.
On March 2, 2024, we began the planting of our first 1% forest in a tradition-setting manner in Budapest, Mátyásföld, and with the help of our civil volunteers, we completed the planting of 2,700 forestry saplings the following weekend, on March 9.

As always, we keep our main goal in mind: we are reforesting using natural methods, always paying attention to creating a mixed species, native forest stock suitable for the site. The professional planting was supervised by Balázs Bozzay, a forestry technician and tree care engineer, a member of the expert team of 10 Million Trees.
Thus, personal income tax 1% donations become forests with the help of the 10 Million Trees community.
Year after year, we plant, and the trees will grow, expanding with a new team of saplings each year.
