Rules and Participation Guidelines for the “SHADOW PROTECTOR AUGUST” Sweepstakes
1. The Organizer of the Contest

Hereinafter referred to as: Organizer.
2. The Name and Purpose of the Contest
The name of the contest: “Shade Protector August” contest.
The aim of the campaign is to attract new subscribers to the 10 Million Trees Foundation newsletter, allowing them to receive direct updates about the Foundation’s work, campaigns, events, and opportunities for involvement.
Participation in the contest is free. No purchase, donation, sharing of the Facebook event, tagging of friends, or invitations are required for participation.
3. Duration of the Contest
The start of the contest:
- August 2, 9:00 AM
The end of the contest:
- August 31, 11:59 PM
Registrations received outside the specified period will not participate in the drawing.
4. Conditions of Participation
Participation in the contest is open to individuals who:
- are at least 18 years old;
- have a delivery address in Hungary;
- were not listed as active subscribers in the 10 Million Trees Foundation newsletter database at the start of the contest;
- validly subscribe to the 10 Million Trees Foundation newsletter on the campaign’s registration page between August 2, 2026, 9:00 AM and August 31, 11:59 PM;
- acknowledge and accept the current game rules and the data management information at the time of subscription;
- have an active newsletter subscription at the time of the drawing database closure.

Each person may participate in the drawing with one email address and only once. Multiple registrations with the same email address will be considered as a single entry.
Registrations made with an incorrect, non-existent, undeliverable, or someone else’s email address will not be considered valid entries.
The organizers’ executives, employees, and individuals directly involved in the preparation and execution of the drawing, as well as their close relatives as defined by the Civil Code, are not eligible to participate in the contest.
5. Prizes
The organizer will draw a total of 50 prizes:
- 1 copy of Márton Kállai’s photo album titled “Methuselahs”;
- 1 copy of the Great Pécs Book;
- 5 pieces of 10 Million Trees T-shirts;
- 10 pieces of National Tree Planting Day baseball caps;
- 33 pieces of 10 Million Trees canvas bags.
A participant may win a maximum of one prize.
The winners of the T-shirts can choose their size from the stock available to the organizer. The organizer does not guarantee that all sizes will be available in every variation.
Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash or other products, and their value cannot be claimed in cash.
6. The Drawing
The date of the drawing:
- September 1, 5:00 PM
The location of the drawing:
the headquarters of the 10 Million Trees Foundation, or in the case of an electronic drawing, the online or IT environment provided by the organizer.
The drawing is not public. The organizer will prepare a record of the drawing.
The drawing will be conducted using a computer random number generator among those who have validly registered during the contest period and are active new registrants at the time the drawing database is closed.
The organizer will draw 50 winners and 50 reserve winners. The distribution of prizes will occur in the order specified in point 5 of this regulation.
Reserve winners will take the place of the winners in the order drawn if:
- the winner does not meet the participation requirements;
- the winner cannot be reached at the provided email address;
- the winner does not respond within five calendar days from the notification;
- the winner does not provide the necessary information for the delivery of the prize;
- the winner forfeits the prize.
7. Notification of Winners
The Organizer will notify the winners at the email address provided during registration, no later than three working days after the draw.
The winner must respond within five calendar days from the notification and provide:
- their full name;
- their delivery address in Hungary;
- the phone number necessary for delivery;
- the requested size in case of winning a t-shirt.
If the winner does not respond within the specified deadline, they will lose their entitlement to the prize, and the next reserve winner will take their place.
The Organizer will only disclose the winner’s name with the explicit consent of the winner.
8. Delivery of Prizes
The prizes will be handed over by the Organizer either in person or via postal or courier delivery to an address in Hungary.
The Organizer will cover the cost of delivery within Hungary.
The Organizer will send the prizes within 30 days from the provision of the delivery information. The Organizer is not responsible for unsuccessful deliveries resulting from incorrect or inaccurate information provided by the winner.
The Organizer will bear any public charges directly imposed on them by law in connection with the prizes. Any other costs arising in relation to the receipt of the prize, which are not explicitly assumed in these rules, will be borne by the winner.
9. Exclusion from the Prize Draw
The Organizer may exclude any participant who:
- provides false information or information belonging to another person;
- attempts to register in an automated, abusive, or multiple manner;
- jeopardizes the fair conduct of the prize draw in any way;
- violates the provisions of these game rules.
The Organizer has the right to verify the validity of participation both before the draw and before the delivery of the prize.
10. Data Management
The data controller of the prize draw is the 10 Million Trees Foundation.
The legal basis for data processing related to the newsletter subscription is the voluntary consent of the participant. The retention period for the data processed for the purpose of sending newsletters lasts until the consent is withdrawn.
The purpose of data processing related to the conduct of the prize draw is:
- to identify the participants;
- to verify the participation conditions;
- to conduct the drawing;
- to notify the winners;
- to deliver the prizes;
- to handle any claims related to the prize draw.
The data processed during the prize draw includes:
- email address;
- the name provided on the subscription interface, if the name is mandatory or voluntarily provided;
- the date and technical details of the subscription;
- for winners, full name, delivery address, and phone number;
- in case of winning a t-shirt, the chosen size.
The legal basis for data processing necessary for conducting the prize draw is the fulfillment of the current game rules accepted by the participant. The legal basis for processing data necessary to fulfill legal, accounting, or tax obligations is the legal obligation applicable to the Organizer.
The Organizer will delete the specific data of non-winning participants related to the prize draw 90 days after the drawing, unless further retention is necessary due to legal disputes or administrative proceedings.
The Organizer will retain the data of winners necessary for prize delivery, accounting, and tax obligations for the duration specified by the relevant laws.
The participant may withdraw their newsletter consent at any time, without justification, via the unsubscribe link found in the newsletters or by sending a letter to 10milliofa@10milliofa.hu. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of data processing that occurred prior to the withdrawal.
The participant may request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of processing of their personal data, as well as exercise any additional rights defined in the relevant data protection laws.
