THE TREES HELP US, WE HELP THE TREES, YOU HELP US!

The 10 Million Trees Foundation will celebrate its fourth anniversary this year. We are a public benefit organization in a legal sense, and we sincerely hope, in a moral sense as well. We plant trees and establish forests and gardens. A lot.

Those who follow our activities know exactly how much and in what way through our Facebook or website. We are determined to plant 10 million trees. Part of this involves encouraging our fellow citizens to take responsibility for at least one tree in their lifetime based on the principle of one person, one tree: plant it and care for it until it becomes self-sustaining. Alternatively, we can take on that responsibility ourselves. We are civilians, present in every corner of the country. As we closely monitor the ongoing climate and biodiversity crisis, our belief grows stronger every day that the Earth needs our trees, and even more so, we humans do. For us, trees not only sequester atmospheric carbon but also provide coolness, trap dust, soothe the soul, and protect our dwindling groundwater resources. We live in mutual dependence: what we exhale, the tree transforms back into oxygen for us. Our ally, and indeed the future of humanity, is the assurance for the decades that lie ahead for our children. What we, as parents, can plant today will help our children in those decades when we will no longer be with them in our physical forms.
