Afforestation in Mátyásföld: 1,500 Seedlings
On December 9, we appeared in a meadow near the Mátyásföld Airport, and together with the local government of District XVI, the staff of Microsec, and a bunch of cheerful volunteers, we planted approximately 1500 forest saplings.
Primarily, we planted Hungarian oak, pedunculate oak, wild pear, various maples, and blackthorn. It was cold, of course, but at least it didn’t rain, unlike many of our recent plantings.
This was the second chapter of our two-hectare forest planting project.
Once again, we felt at the end that it was worth getting out of bed in the morning!
