We distributed saplings for planting.
Sunny weather, good spirits, enthusiastic representatives, and a multitude of new volunteers, many of whom came from the more remote corners of the country.
A rich variety of saplings
Field maple, tall ash, field elm, wild apple, wild pear, blackthorn, narrow-leaved ash, old elm, white poplar, pedunculate and sessile oak found new homes and began their journey to their final planting locations.
10 Million Trees representatives from all over the country
Győr, Mohács, Monorierdő, Szigetszentmiklós, Izsák, Kecskemét, Küngös, Nógrád, Szeged, Tihany, Délegyháza, Tótkomlós, Csömör, Verőce—representatives from the 10 Million Trees initiative have already taken the saplings, and in the coming weeks, we will continuously distribute the little trees to other parts of the country, even before the arrival of “real” spring.
It was inspiring to see so many diligent hands, cheerful faces, and the weather was kind to us!
We welcomed the volunteers with mulled wine, tea, and snacks, but among them was one who left nothing to chance, arriving with homemade bread and lard to treat the others!
Thank you for coming, let spring arrive – down with winter!
Let’s get planting! 🙂
