Here is the 50th Miyawaki mini-forest!

The 50th Miyawaki mini-forest was completed in time for Easter, with the participation of 10 Million Trees. And immediately, the 51st one is underway 😊

The Miyawaki mini-forest in Aszód was born on March 26, which is the city’s first such dense, nature-friendly mini-forest. With this planting, the 10 Million Trees Foundation has achieved its 50th Miyawaki mini-forest planting in Hungary.

ASZÓD’S FIRST MIYAWAKI MINI-FOREST

The city of Aszód successfully applied for funding announced on the occasion of National Tree Planting Day, receiving significant professional and financial support for the establishment of the mini-forest. During the planting, nearly 150 native trees and shrubs were planted with the help of preschool and school children.

On the 2026 National Tree Planting Day, the country gained a total of 9 mini-forests through the planting action day.

The first Miyawaki mini-forest by 10 Million Trees – which is actually the second in the country – was planted by the 10 Million Trees community in Baja. This pioneering planting was made possible thanks to the perseverance of Rita Reiner, with contributions from the Municipality of Baja and Axiál Ltd.

Although it seems very distant, especially in relation to the number of mini-forests created and their rapid development, only 4 and a half years have passed since then. Generally, three, but often more partners collaborated to create the other urban oases.

In addition to rapid, spectacular growth, they provide multiplied ecological services compared to the solitary young trees – which is why companies are also eager to participate in their realization in line with their own sustainability efforts.

Among other things, this milestone prompted us to organize the country’s first Miyawaki mini-forest conference.
