This is what our 5th birthday celebration was like.
With fantastically high-quality, simultaneously invigorating yet inspiring discussions on the topic of nature conservation.
We reflected on humanity’s possibilities and limitations, including the roles of communities, civil society, the 10 Million Trees initiative, and private individuals. About our collective efforts and the way forward.
Present to share their thoughts were Attila Dobrovitz, a forester; András Németh, a conservationist; Ferenc Jordán, a biologist from the University of Parma; Balázs Bozzay, an environmental management engineer; Gábor Kardos, a philosopher; Judit Szegő representing the Air Working Group; Gábor Vágó from Booster; Ágnes Paul from Cleanwasher; Zoltán Békés from X-forest; Réka Aszalós, a forest ecologist; Laura Balázs, a forest explorer; Barbara Sallee, a human ecologist; and Márk Gauder from Palmtri in Indonesia.
Márk is also the representative of 10 Million Trees – Indonesia, and his presence provided an opportunity to agree with local university partners on the planting of 1,000,000 trees in Indonesia.
We showcased a photo exhibition featuring the works of Anita Pongrátz and Virág Stépán, documenting our past five years.
And of course, many representatives from our local communities from all over the country were present.
During the day, a pony visited, much to the delight of the children.
The Örvény band performed, and in the evening, Gábor Cseke gave a wonderful jazz concert.
This day, after a long period of preparation, also marked the opening of the 10 Million Trees Pagony guesthouse, with a barn disco lasting until dawn.
We planted our birthday tree, and there was even room for a sustainability interactive workshop organized by the Antrópolis Association, led by Balázs Nagy.

Just like this year, the next occasion will also be completely open, anyone can come, and we warmly welcome everyone – perhaps with two stages and maybe even for two days!
